“You’re not alone” – an uplifting song by Owl City

“This song is an ode to hope. When I first heard it I didn’t pay much attention to the lyrics, but the more I listened to it, the more it sunk in me, how hopeful it is.”

“I would like to encourage you to take a moment to pray now. Picture yourself in the middle of your struggles. (…) Now, put God in the picture. Revisit those images in your mind, and see if anything changes. Isn’t it comforting to think that you are not alone?”

Welcome to St Joseph the Worker!

Welcome to the website of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Canley, Coventry. If this is your first introduction to our parish, I hope that you find here what you are looking for and that you will want to join us in our praise and service of God and in our life together.

The Church of St. Joseph the Worker was opened on 21st September, 1981, and after years, during which it was established as the home of the worshipping Catholic community in this area, it was consecrated on 1st May, 2018. That means that the building and the community are dedicated and called to be holy. St. Joseph the Worker is a beacon of hope and stability in a developing area, as Coventry expands to the south and Warwick University continues to attract many students into the area from around the UK and overseas. As a community devoted to the service of God, we always try to reflect the presence of God-with-us. We are a parish with a clear identity and purpose: to be a community formed by the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus, for the glory and praise of God and the service of His Kingdom, and also for the mutual up-building and support of its members. Here you will always find a welcoming hand. And if you are unable to come in person, join us over the webcam. Feel free to contact us by phone or email. And please pray for us.  May God bless you and all whom you love,
