A church for the community. A church for you. A church to the glory of God

How to support St Joseph the Worker

St Joseph the Worker is proud to be an active community, but we are aware that more things can be done. In this section we would like to suggest different ways in which you can support the work we do as a parish.

Please pray for the parish. Pray for its members, for yourself, for those who come to activities organised in the parish. Pray for the fruits of pilgrimages, for Fr Simon and Fr Peter, for all involved in the parish. At all times, in everything.

Suggest new ideas

We are all together in this adventure of life and fellowship through the parish.

So if you have a pressing comment, a suggestion, a word of encouragement, or any project that God may be instilling in you, we encourage you to tell us.

Do you feel inspired to contribute to something specific? You can always contact us and tell us where God is leading you in your generosity.

Donate

The parish relies on the weekly offerings of its parishioners to sustain its activities. Even more, it needs our help to constantly provide a service to the community. A contribution that is vital for the upkeep of the church, for paying the bills, in order to keep the church open to everyone.

But let’s go a step further. Imagine what your generosity could do for the community: imagine a parish full of daily activities for the elderly, for students, for people looking for a breathing, quiet space. Imagine a parish teeming with worship, with prayer groups, full of life.

Your generosity enables the church to show the love of Christ to the community, bringing life to everyone.

Do you already contribute financially to the parish? Why not consider establishing a standing order, so that every month the parish knows what money is coming? For information, please contact June Palmer, the parish treasurer, on the  email address: pt.stjoseph.covty@rcaob.org.uk.

Also, if you are a UK tax-payer, you can Gift Aid any donations you make to the church, and for every pound you donate, the church can claim back 25 pence from the Inland Revenue. For more information, please contact the parish Gift Aid Officer, June Palmer on the email above.
